FAQ

A: (由Dian Bao提供)

Q: How to get to Baltimore from UMCP
A: (由Dian Bao, Zhu Han提供)
It is called MARC, not Amtrk. Schedule is at

http://www.mtamaryland.com/index.cfm

MARC is an extremely slow and aged "machine", slower
than the horse, and also expensive, costs more than 5
dollars and more than 1 hour to downtown Baltimore.
The fastest and cheapest way is go to the Greenbelt
Metro Station by taking c2 bus on campus, pay $1.1,
you can use this ticket with additional $0.90 (?) to
get another ticket on B30 express line to go to
Baltimore airport, total cost $2.00, and only takes
about 30 minutes. Keep this ticket, it is also good to
take Baltimore local bus. B30 operates 365 days/year

When arrive BWI, take light-rail to Penn Station, then
take free JHMI shuttle to JHU.

I always take B30, because it is faster and more
reliable than Blue Van.

Q:Cheap Airfare to China?
A: (由Dian Bao, 马华强和Joanna Feng提供)
Buy ticket direct from air carrier doesn't always mean
higher price.

Try call Air China Detriot office at:
734-7222302, ask for New York JFK- Beijing direct fly
with Boeing 747 Combi ( half cargo half passenger,
only this flight is cheap)

The plane has very very big space (a 747 with about
100 passenger only). Last year was at least $100
cheaper than any dealer price. But the flight was
always delay, normally 1 hour, because passengers have
to wait crews to load the expensive cargo to Shanghai
)

Remember to reserve a window seat, the plane flys over
North Pole, an iced land covered with pure red aurora.

Good luck.
